Three years into the project and the "Little blue hopper fleet" is growing beyond my wildest dreams.

(Please note I do not need any additional hoppers)

The hopper fleet had been hovering around the 32 for about 14 months and then had a huge growth spurt. Over a six week period I found a burst of energy and was able to build up the fleet to 50 hoppers. Then in just one transaction I found TWELVE more hoppers bringing the fleet total to SIXTY TWO! Since then, in only a few days I have already increased the fleets numbers to somewhere between 63 and 65! Now the search is on with a renewed passion and a new goal of ONE HUNDRED HOPPERS!

This photo has the GP-18's, Grandpa's original little blue hopper that was the inspiration for this insane project, a beautiful BRAND NEW bicentennial BM engine that my wife just gave me for Christmas, and the custom BM caboose that Wayne build and weathered to match the rest of the hopper fleet.

You can see most of the fleet in these photos. The beautifully weathered GP-18's that Wayne painted, along with the first thirty two hoppers that have already received Wayne's expert handy work. All of the hoppers with Kadee couplers installed had all be renumbered and weathered.

The rest of the hoppers will all be slowly modified with new Kadee's and weathering just as fast as I can complete the work and Wayne can apply his magic touches.

I found some really nice boxes with foam padding to pack the growing fleet in.

Just two weeks ago I made labels for the boxes, "Little Hopper Fleet" Box one of three (20 of 60 hoppers).

Well those label's are now obsolete and I will have to make now ones...
