I love these vista dome cars, no passenger train looks complete without one in my opinion, but Mantua did not offer a car like this that I know of. You can find them in the older aluminum sets but I have never seen a plastic vista dome from Mantua.
My wife is quick to point out that I was sitting at my desk very disappointed because the new cars did not quite match the older cars. I really wanted to put them together and run them as a set when my wife had a wonderful idea, if you were to copy the people in the windows on the scanner and put them in the new cars you would hardly notice the difference. So it was not me that had this intelligent idea it was Sandy! Now the new Athearn cars, including this vista dome, blends in nicely with the silhouettes of the people in the windows.
