This is a "Ultra Rare" Alco 4301 Bicentennial engine.

Made as a proto type or "What if" engine in late 1973 or early 1974 as a precursor to the production Tyco Alco 4301 version #1 that was only sold in complete sets.

These very rare engines with the 5628 number badges were never sold to the public.
